Huh? All the word press crap makes writing a blog really easy. I have not written a web page since collage. That was back in the 90’s, were all you had was a text editor. I was lucky to sometimes time have syntax highlighting.
So today I downloaded a new theme for wordpress. Like it? I don’t. I just got sick of the the default. I had to already go in an modify the header to make the title correct. Guess I really need to learn all this new web stuff, php and css. Oh wait that stuff is so 2005. I should do my own all in Ruby? Nah, I just want to blog for now, but I don’t want to use some one else’s template. Graphic design is not really my strong suit, so maybe I will just come up with some really plain style.
iTV

What? A set top box to play only quicktime and iTunes crap. For $299 that thing better play xivd and divx. What about includeding a tv tuner and a hard drive (tivo). That would seem to make a better product to sit on top of your TV.
Oh, another ingenious name iTV. The iTV is just a code name until they can buy Elgato, the makers of “EyeTV”. Then apple will bring the noise with the new “iTV”. Whoo hoo.
So we get new versions of all the same old iPods. Now that we can finally buy all those great movies, what happened to the full screen iPod. I might actually buy one of those, if it plays xvid and divx.
Stupid Mouse

I bought a bluetooth mini mouse last month for my new laptop and the damn thing broke already. It is bizarre. It tries to turn on and the LED inside flashes on then it turns it self off. Of course it breaks the week after I throw away the unopenable plastic package. I wrote to IOGear support. Hopefully they will take it back. If not, any other good bluetooth mini mouse?
Why is the standard packaging for most items the plastic that has to be cut open? If your not careful opening the plastic will cut the hell out of you. Stupid plastic.

Stupid Server

I have this old Athlon Server I put together couple of years ago. It was built to hold my terabyte. But for some reason it gets angry every time I leave town. Two weeks ago I was gone, for some reason the server reset and hung up in the raid bios. It said a disk was bad and the stupid bios will not boot. What is the point of having a raid 5 backup system if will NOT boot with one missing disk.
This weekend I was out of town and of course, the server crapped out. This time it was the system disk that failed. The strange thing is that there was nothing wrong with the disks. The bios just could not detect it. Once I power cycled the server, all was fine Stupid Server.
